My mouth is just watering as I think about these amazing Instant Pot Rib Tips!  If you like your ribs to just fall off of the bone, like I do, then this super easy Instant Pot Rib Tips recipe will knock your socks right off!

These Instant Pot Rib Tips are so delicious and incredibly easy to make, compared to normal preparations, cooking, smoking, etc. My guess is that you don’t make ribs very often because they are so time consuming to make them the traditional ways and for them to be at an amazing level of tenderness and having them fall off the bone.  Granted, they are delicious when they are done, but who has that kind of time?  I definitely don’t, but with the Instant Pot, you can totally make these melt in your mouth ribs in less than an hour.

Instant Pot Rib Tips

Pick your favorite sauce to finish these IP Rib Tips off by throwing them on the grill for just a couple minutes on each side for that delicious grilled texture/flavor.

Instant Pot Rib Tips

Now, most of the time, we use a quick release for the pressure in the Instant Pot, but for this recipe, we will use a natural release so that the ribs don’t have a tough texture.  All that really means is that once your Instant Pot finishes cooking your mouth-watering ribs, it will beep.  Then, it will continue on the warm mode and start the clock going forward.  This is allowing a gradual release of the pressure, without opening the valve.  Once the timer is up to 10 minutes, then you can open up the valve to release any remaining pressure. It’s at this point that my family comes running to the kitchen, as the scent of ribs fills my house and these carnivores are ready to eat!

New to instant pot… wanted a simple guide… Ashley’ helped me kill it first time out! I’ve never used an instant pot until tonight… 16Jan2022. I didn’t have a trivet… didn’t use one… I do have a process for ribs in the oven in water, et cetera, but that takes hours. I just wanted tips, easy… and this did it!

    Thank you, Ashley!

    1. Hi Cora, we have not tried putting the rib tips in frozen before. I would thaw them fully and then follow the recipe as written, if time allows!

This is my go-to ri s recipe. I’ve made many times and the entire family loves them – even my 2 boys who are very picky about their meat. It is in regular rotation at our house.

Tried this tonight and it was spot on!!! The ribs fell clean off the bone. Once done, I laid them out on a foil lined baking sheet and slathered them up with some bbq sauce and stuck them under a high broiler for about 10 minutes and perfection!!!

      1. Hi Kimberley, we have only tried this recipe as written so I can’t say for sure, let us know if you decide to try it though!
