FREE Printable: Christmas Kindness Calendar

To be brutally honest, last year I completely over did Christmas. I bought WAY to many gifts for my family too the point that my son still has some unopened toys in his closet even today. My son is my first child and only child. As you could have imagined, I got so caught up in trying to make sure that he had everything he could ever want that I, myself, lost sight of the true meaning of Christmas and the holiday spirit. The true spirit of Christmas is something I would so much rather pass on and share with my family than material items. This year, to make sure I don't get sucked back into all of the commercialism of Christmas, I decided to take after my friend Corrine from Wonder Mom Keep Reading

Are you ready for summer vacation? If you're like me, you've been counting the days for the busy school season to end, but then a week into summer you start wishing school would start again (seriously). It's great to finally have time with the kids, but it doesn't take long before they start with the "I'm bored!" mantra. Even though my son is little (4-years-old to be exact), he is still the exact same way you would expect a 14 -year-old to be when he gets bored.. a little terror. This year we are going to skip the "I'm bored!" and try something different. I want to invite you to do the same. We are going to do a 30 Days of Summer Fun Challenge to break the summer funk cycle. What is Keep Reading

3 Things You Need to Do to Have a Stress-FREE Family Football Party

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, INC. and The Coca-Cola Company, all opinions are mine alone. #ServeWithACoke #ShopRite #CollectiveBias If you've been reading around here for a while, you know I am not the biggest football fan in the world. As a matter of fact, I really don't even like it! But, my husband and little 5-year-old son are big fans, so it's not something I can completely write off. Occasionally, my husband throws little tailgating parties with his friends. These parties are usually geared more towards adults, and by that I pretty much mean the food. My son still gets to watch the game with his dad, but I usually have to make him his own football spread Keep Reading

Instant Pot (or Not) Spicy Cranberry Chicken Drumsticks + Skinnier Buffalo Chicken Dip

This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Save-A-Lot. The opinions and text are all mine. With game day right around the corner, it's time to start thinking snacks. While I do love traditional hot wings, heavy dips, and super fattening foods, my pants sure don't! My husband is a big football fan. He likes to invite his friends over to yell at the TV and eat snacks on Sundays (or tailgate as he calls it). I, on the other hand, am not a football fan. Terrible thing to say, I know. I just can't get into it! But, just because I don't love the game, doesn't mean I can't enjoy the snacks. I do love stuffing my face for 3 hours. If only the calories didn't count Keep Reading
