Money Saving Apps

I get asked all the time which money saving apps are actually worth it and figured it was time I put a list together. There are a ton of great apps out there and a bunch that are also a waste of time.

I know, I know. Everybody knows about iBotta by now, but did you know there are literally tons of other apps that offer cash back? Whether you are not really into couponing or just trying to maximize savings, it’s time to put your phone to good use! No matter what you are trying to save money on, there is an app for that, seriously!

#1 iBotta – I know I said you probably already know about it, but do you really? iBotta has had some awesome changes recently. You can now earn rebates for shopping right through the app on things other than groceries! They have also made it easy for you to link your store loyalty cards and have over 177 supported stores you can earn rebates from. You still have to unlock rebates before you shop but no longer have to worry about uploading your receipt and your money will show up in your account with in 48 hours.  They have also added some other great things like teamwork, bonuses, and more. You can also give your friends $10 and get $5 for yourself each time a friend joins iBotta with your referral code and redeems a rebate within two weeks! You can cash out to your Paypal once your account hits $20.

#2 Checkout 51 – This app is very much like iBotta but with one big difference. You can earn rebates shopping at any store. Sometimes you can even find items overlapping in both iBotta and Checkout 51, which mean double cash back! You may earn money slowly in this one, but it does add up! You can request your check in the mail once your account reaches $20.
