stone ground white grits

Instructions
Melt the butter in the Instant Pot using the saute setting over medium heat.
Add the grits and cook for 2 minutes, stirring often, until fragrant.
Add the water and cover and seal the Instant Pot.
Cook for 10 minutes on Manual high pressure. Preform a natural pressure release for 15 minutes After that time, release any remaining pressure.
Stir the warmed milk into the grits, followed by the cheese. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Serve hot with a sprinkle of cheese and butter.
Notes
Leftover cheese grits will keep in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
